Dear Pack 99 Parents,

Thank you for registering for our 2022 PineGold event. We are looking forward to a great day of fun, fellowship, and racing at Marvin Efird Park. Please read this email carefully as it contains a lot of important information.

Schedule (Please plan to arrive at Marvin Efird Park, 8908 New Town Road, one hour before your scheduled race. This will allow time to check in your car and make any necessary adjustments):

8:00 Check-In

9:00 Lion & Tiger races

9:45 Wolf races

10:30 Bear races

11:15 Webelos races

11:30-12:30 LUNCH SERVED

12:00 AOL races

1:00 RAFFLES DRAWN

1:00 All-Pack final race

2:00 Sibling & Open Races

3:00 Design Contest

What to bring:

Your Derby cars
Camp chairs or a picnic blanket for your family
Sunscreen, bug spray, and water bottles. We will have water coolers for refills.
Cash or credit cards to support our pack fundraisers. Our goal is to raise enough money to cover all the Pinewood expenses, including cars and trophies.
Food:

If you ordered barbecue, you will pick up your lunch tickets at check-in. There are a very limited number of additional meals available while supplies last.
We will also be offering a “snack pack” for $1.50, which will include a Body Armor beverage and a bag of chips.
A Kona Ice truck will be on site from 11 to 3. If our purchases total at least $300, we will receive a percentage of the sales.
Fundraisers:

Previous Class B t-shirts in a variety of sizes will be available for $10 each. Scout book covers will also be sold for $5 each.
2022 Camp Cards will be sold for $10 each. This will be one of the last opportunities to get discounts for Harris Teeter, Dominoes, Dick’s Sporting Goods, and Tractor Supply.
Raffle tickets!! This year’s raffle baskets include Legos, S’mores, Summer Fun, Young Living Oils, Scout and Cellar Wine, and MORE. Tickets cost $5 each or 5 for $20. Winners will be selected after the AOL race. You must be present to win.

This year we will combine our usual Pinewood Derby and Blue and Gold Dinner for a “Pine-Gold Event” at Marvin Efird Park.

This venue allows us to open up the doors for a safer fresh-air environment and still be under a roof in case the weather decides not to co-operate.

Cub Scout Packs celebrate the Scouting Anniversary with a Blue and Gold Banquet. In Pack 99, the Blue and Gold banquet is a huge, fun event. Please join us for a catered BBQ meal, games, and fun — we want to make sure we have all our Scouts’ families join!
