Cane Creek Campout – October 22nd – 24th, 2021
WHAT: Pack 99 Campout – all Cub Scout parents/guardians and siblings are welcomed to join.
WHERE: Cane Creek Park, Group Camping Sites, Waxhaw, NC (The Campground GPS Address is 5301 Cane Creek Rd, Waxhaw, NC 28173). Please note that this is NOT the day use area. This is the Campground Area on the other side of the lake from our “fishing day”. When you reach the campground entrance make a right at the Y (the gate should be open) and drive to the parking lot near the very end of the road. WHEN: Friday, Oct 22nd to Sunday, Oct 24th
COST: No cost to Scouts who are current on paid dues. Where applicable, cabin fees are handled on an individual family basis.
DRESS: Class A (Cubscout uniform) for flag ceremony events, Class B for other events.
DETAILS
You can begin arriving and setting up at 3:30PM on Friday. The gates will close at 6:30PM. If you arrive after 6:30pm, you will need the combination for the lock – we can provide that to you ahead of time if you ask your Den Leader. Call your Den Leader if you need further assistance when you arrive at the gate.
NOTE: If you have other activities planned this weekend, please feel free to leave with your scout as needed and then come back, so your son can enjoy the majority of the weekend with the Pack!

MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS
We have all eleven group campsites for the duration of the weekend.
The group sites have a maximum of 35 people per campsite. Each site has a large fire ring and six picnic tables. Fresh water, restrooms and shower facilities are available, no electricity.
No tobacco, alcohol, or pets. BSA rules.
A first aid kit will be available at the campsites.
Bears and below are not permitted to play in, poke at, or put anything in the campfire. Webelos 1 and 2 are permitted to tend a fire with adult supervision for training only (BSA rule.)
Use the buddy system—no solo scouts.
Whittling chip required for pocket knife use.
No video games or electronic devices at the camp.
