As a followup to our news post, “Wreaths Across America Day” is on Dec 18th. Some of our Pack 99 Scouts will be participating locally right here in Waxhaw (Southside Cemetery). Please join us if you can.

The wreath laying begins at 12PM at the Southside Cemetery address shown below in Waxhaw. The organization said they have about 200 wreaths that need to be laid out at specific/marked grave sites. There will be other groups in attendance as well and a master of ceremonies will direct and hand our scouts their wreath to place.

This will be a very nice gesture for our scouts to honor our Veteran’s that are no longer with us. How awesome is that. If you can please show up in your full Class A uniform.

Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, our mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as at more than 2,500 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea and abroad.
