Update 3.23.22…. Added updated information and payment information to the post.
As some of you may know we normally have a Patriots Point Naval & Maritime Museum trip planned every few years but due to Covid, they haven’t offered the opportunity until now. Join us for a sleepover on the navy ship USS Yorktown this Memorial Day May 27 & 28 for 1 night and we have a select number of 2 night reservations. We have also gone ahead and set a date for next year as well, so if you can’t make it this year due to age or scheduling you’ll have an opportunity next year. Save the Date for January 21/22, 2023.

A little about Operation Overnight.
Become a United States sailor aboard the historic USS Yorktown by participating in Operation Overnight. During your adventure, you’ll walk among some of our military’s most notable airplanes and ships while learning what life was like for Navy sailors. You’ll sleep in traditional Navy berthing compartments and eat meals in one of the ship’s many galleys. While aboard, you’ll hear stories of heroism and experience the WWII aircraft carrier like no other as you go behind the scenes to Live Like a Sailor.
Some Unique things to think about:
Children must be 6 years old or older
One adult chaperone is required for every child ages 6-10. Children 11-17 must have a chaperone for every five people
Sleeping arrangements: There are NO MULTI-GENDER SLEEPING AREAS. An adult chaperone must be in each berthing compartment where the youth are sleeping, so all overnight groups must include the appropriate number of female and male chaperones based on gender, number and age of youth sailors. Boys who attend with their mom will need to ask a trusted male adult to be their chaperone for the sleepover portion of the event.
Food is not included and options will be communicated once we have our final scout reservations.

Costs: 1 night – $92 pp/per night
Costs: 2 nights- $155 pp/per night (we have a limited 2 night reservations, they will be given out 1st come first serve and then a waiting list, we will know by 4/5 if we have space but it should not be a problem for two nights stays.
