Here is the information to provide to the AOL scouts for the hike with the troop. This will satisfy requirement “Arrow of Light Scouting Adventure 4”.

4. With your den leader, parent, or guardian, participate in a Scouts BSA troop’s campout or other outdoor activity. Use the patrol method while on the outing.

What: A 10 mile hike on the Carolina Thread Trail. Please bring water, lunch to be eaten on the trail, and personal first aid kit.
Where: Carolina Thread Trail starting at Town Creek Park, 4240 Waxhaw Marvin Road, Waxhaw, 28173
When: Saturday, November 19, 2022. Arrive at Town Creek Park no later than 8:30am. We expect to finish by 2:00pm.

We will be doing a 10-mile hike on the Carolina Thread Trail starting at Town Creek Park in Waxhaw with the rising AOL scouts and their parents on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Please join us and help welcome the new scouts to Troop 99.

Please pack a lunch to be eaten on the trail, sufficient water for the hike, and a personal first aid kit.

Cub Scouts
For the Cub Scouts and their parents, please plan to meet us at Town Creek Park by 8:30 so we can start the hike by 8:45. Please note that all Cub Scouts must have at least one parent or guardian present for the outing and you must bring completed BSA medical forms (Part A & B only) for all participants…scouts, siblings, parents, guardians, etc.
