We will have another option for turning in any care item for the soldiers aboard the USS Gerald Ford.

We will accept items at the Wreath Pick Up November 26.

Please have all items by Friday December 1 at the latest, so we can get it packaged up and sent off to hopefully arrive before the holidays. You can either drop them off to the Martone Family (6210 Adelaide Place Waxhaw) or we can arrange to pick them up. There will be also be a collection at Wreath Pickup on November 26. One of the local Girl Scout Troops also is collecting to send as a team with our basket to hopefully make their holidays on the ship a little brighter!

After speaking with one of the Chief Petty Officers aboard the USS Gerald Ford, we are collecting items to send them a care package. They are currently deployed and have been since May, and at this time, unsure how long their deployment will last. The top request was for Oreos! They said other than that they are not picky and truly appreciate anything! Snacks are the best and they would love a variety. Also, some cards or some small games they may be able to play if they have downtime. Also, we would love to include some homemade cards thanking them for their service as well and to be safe.
This is an excellent opportunity to show these military members how much we care about them, and that we are thinking of them during their deployment.
