WE NEED YOU!! As a pack we will pay for 2 people to attend the upcoming BALOO training in September. We need to have some leaders or parents who regularly attend the overnight adventures sign up for this coming event. The training is $30 per person (paid by Pack 99) and includes lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast on Sunday. Link to the event is below.

Council is offering an additional BALOO training at Barnhardt, September 21-22. This day and half course will familiarize adult leaders with Scouting’s policies and procedures for camping with Cub Scouts.

We are required to have at least 1 BALOO (preferably 2 or more) trained person(s) at camp if we plan to stay overnight anywhere. Currently, we only have 2 maybe 3 people in our pack with the training. The result of having no BALOO trained person present on overnight adventures means the camp must be CANCELLED.

Once trained you would not be expected to have to attend every single event. The thinking is that we can cover the requirements between those of us who have the training.
PLEASE consider putting yourselves forward for training if you come to the camp outs/overnight adventures.
Every Cub Scout camping trip must have at least one adult that is BALOO trained on site for the duration of the trip.
