This year we will hold our 2nd annual Pancakes with Santa fundraiser which is of course open to the public. Below are details from last year, and will be updated closer to December. This year let’s really get the word out on social media, signage and word-of-mouth. If there is anything you would like to see done differently this year, please let us know.

This is also a great opportunity for kids & scouts to share their Christmas wish list with Santa, and a photo opportunity in a beautiful scene with Santa. Not to mention the price and long lines to see Santa at an out-of-town destination. We’ll also feature a life-sized nativity photo opportunity and a reading of the Christmas story of Jesus’ birth.

There will be 1 hour time spots for duties like “check-in help”, “clean-up”, “kitchen help”, “Santa’s helpers”, “beverage station”. There is also a late Friday evening “Event Setup” if anyone can come help us set up the night before. Parent’s also feel free to signup, or to simply signup your scout, and work along side of them during the time spot.

One week until our first ever Pancakes with Santa. We are asking that anyone with social media paste our pack flyer on your site for greater publicity.

Soon we will ask volunteers to select a time slot to help with the event.
This would be for scouts & parents.
Some duties would include:
*helping move the Santa & Nativity line along, handing candycane to child after their visit
*helping shuttle food from kitchen to serving tables & keeping beverages full
*an adult to read the short “Christmas Story of Jesus’ Birth” (on microphone)
*helping to make sure tables are wiped after one throws away their trash
*Primarily having Scouts serve food in the line, and cups of drinks
*helping setup night before, and breakdown after the event

In the “Files” section, (will soon be) documents that are specifically meant for posting to social media, so please feel free to put the word out there for this event.

Tickets will soon be pre-purchased by clicking on the payment’s link in Team App, and the QR code would take the public to the payment page also. Prepayment for this event is required to ensure that we can accommodate all that would like to attend. Due to the nature of the event and the time allotted, we will cap the number of tickets sold. Getting this event out to the public would increase our ability to raise funds tremendously. We are expecting that the methods Weddington Methodist Church uses to gain publicity will really help boost this event, so on our end lets “Do Your Best” to get publicity as well.
